LOMA began in 1990 with a vision by founder David Hanen whose intent was to develop a naturally-based hair care line for the spa and salon industry.
His background as a practicing hairdresser for more than 32 years has been invaluable to the success of LOMA-Pearatin products. From understanding the needs of hairdressers to those of consumers, his vision of a "healing and nourishing" line was developed.
David has been a chemist for nearly two decades, and is a member of the Society of Cosmetic Chemists. This unique combination of education and experience makes him uniquely qualified to create high performing, luxury salon hair and skin care products, and to build a company that caters to the needs of stylists in order to strengthen the industry and maximize salon profitability.

Our company was green before green was popular! We have always recycled most drums and pails used in manufacturing, and have been part of the IMEX recycling guide for more than a decade. We utilize renewable, hydro-electric and biofuel energies in our operations and in our vehicles and have even developed biofuel manufacturing at our corporate headquarters, efficiently recycling and creating fuel from former waste oil products from local restaurants.
